About the author and this site

Dear reader,

Over the course of my life I have had sex with 168 guys and then some. Some of it was good, some great, some regrettable, some awkward, some borderline traumatic, some laughable and some phenomenal. However, each and every guy I ever had sex with is a story to be told.

The act of sex teaches us about ourselves, at a moment when we are at our most naked. Sex is when we are intensely vulnerable and strong at the same time. When you become intimate with someone, however brief or even anonymous, you inevitably grow. This site chronicles my experiences over the years.

This is a site about sexual behavior among human beings. It’s about how we have come to treat sexuality and how I have attempted to find, appreciate and embrace myself and my sexuality.
Be warned, the content might be a bit R-rated at times. I don’t intend to be graphic, but I won’t shy away from honesty either, provided it serves the story. In short, this is not a site for homophobes.

Though overtly gay themed, I’d like to think 168guys.com conveys a message that applies to everyone equally:

Whether you’re gay or straight, man or woman, we can all relate to the struggle to find and maintain true intimacy, which in my opinion lies at the core of everybody’s sexual desires.
No matter how shallow a sexual encounter may appear, my 168 guys will show you that, for better or for worse, sex is never meaningless.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Are the stories real?
Yes, they are. Every story you read on 168guys.com really happened, though in some cases small details are altered, mostly in aid of making sure the Guys mentioned here remain anonymous.

Did you really make a list of all the people you ever had sex with?
Yes and no.
It never occurred to me to make such a list until I started this blog. So no, I haven’t been treating my sex life as an accountant for the last ten years. However, for the sake of accuracy, I sat down and wrote down every Guy I could remember when I first started writing about my experiences. So yes, these days it is not uncommon for me to update my Excel sheet within days after having sex with someone. And yes, I am aware of how weird this is.

How can you remember all of your dates?
Some dates make a lasting impression, others not so much, but there is always at least some detail I do remember. I simply magnify those details to create a story. So no, I don’t remember all of my dates very well, but there’s always enough material to create a 500 word laugh.

What happens when you reach Guy #168?
When I started 168guys.com, the number 168 was just a ballpark figure of how many Guys I had been with. I have since passed that number, so Guy #168 will definitely not be the last entry. Time will tell how and if 168guys.com comes to a conclusion.

Can I be Guy #169?
My online dating profiles have a link to my blog and I’m always flattered by Guys that hit me up on Grindr, saying they visited my site. A lot of them jokingly ask if they can be #169. The answer is no, you cannot. First of all, #169 already came and went. Second, come up with a better pick-up line. Third, this is a site about dating, not a site for dating. There have been a few Guys that hit me up in the comment section. Unless you’re Matt Damon, please don’t.

If I have sex with you, will you write about it?
Yes, I most definitely will.

Are Guys okay with me writing about their sex lives?
Some Guys get off on the idea, some are just curious to see their story come up, while others get a little anxious by the thought of me writing about a subject they understandably view as personal and intimate.
The reason Guys are referred to only by their number is to maintain their anonymity. However, some of the Guys I date(d) are also part of my social life, meaning there can be certain details that, to some, will reveal their identity. Whenever this happens I ask a Guy if he’s okay with me revealing those details prior to posting a story online, or, when for whatever reason I can’t get someone’s consent, I err on the safe side and leave out those details altogether.

Does your family know about 168guys.com?
I suppose they do. Part of the reason I started this blog was to show people that sexuality, for all its inherent clumsiness, struggles, oddities, insecurities, joys, benefits and rewards, is normal if nothing else. It’s not the type of thing I talk about when I stuff a turkey, but I don’t hide it either, because why should I?

  1. 168? Damn man, and I thought I was had the record, with girls though, I even had a fling with this girl that I’m quite certain she was a ninphomanicac, 6 to 8 times a day having sex, so pretty much I spend the whole day in bed.
Well, this should be some interesting reads, so when time permits I’ll be back and do what I have coined “my cool stalker moves”

    1. Ey there thanks for stopping by…as for the number 168: let’s just say that finding sex in the gay scene is like finding cheese in Wisconsin…finding love is a whole different ball game though…

      1. He, Lennard, I guess I should see you live, to see the colour of your skin, and your blush ;).

I was in Katwijk last weekend. Do you work at a beachclub ?

        Great story, Guy #107…!

      2. Wow, most of the people that come here are from the US, but you apparently live within Grindr range. Wasn’t expecting that. (Guess it pays off to put a link to this site on my Grindr profile!)
Let’s just say we’ll let fate decide the color of my skin:)

    1. Hi Jeff, how’s it going? Nice to hear from you again! Indeed, I’ve been off WordPress for nearly a year (during which I turned the Kim Jong-un diary entries into a book, so I haven’t been missing in action, just missing;)). Not sure if my former followers will appreciate my new site, but time will tell. How have you been? I need to read up on all the stuff I missed on WordPress this past year:S
